About Us

Jipay is a micro-savings wallet for informal workers in Africa, utilizing a "Save As You Spend" solution integrated with Mpesa.

The app is available on Android phones and its mission is to enable Universal Health Coverage (UHC) through Jipay Afya, a primary healthcare micro-insurance.

The micro-insurance covers a family of five and Jipay also enables financial inclusion through "Jipay Later," a micro-savings solution for education, business capital, and holidays, by automatically saving 10% of all spending.

When you download the Jipay app on Google Play store and save Ksh.100/= the money is invested in a money market fund that earns you daily compound interest. This fund is managed by our partner Etica Capital. It is an open-ended savings wallet.

jipay Later

This is a lock savings wallet that gives a subscriber the chance to save for Business Capital, Education or Sherehe. It is meant to encourage discipline in savings in order to achieve financial targets. There is a progress bar on the application dashboard to keep track of the progress to achieving the goal.

jipay Afya

This is our flagship product. Subscribers are able to make daily savings that go to paying micro-medical insurance premium for a family of 4. This covers in and out patient needs of a family.
